What is ActiveSpaces?

   TIBCO ActiveSpaces is a peer-to-peer dispersed in-memory data grid-a form of virtual shared memory that is simulated on dispersed devices and applications. ActiveSpaces provides an application programming interface (API) that allows developers to store and get back data, and execute database and messaging functionality. ActiveSpaces also provides an administrative CLI tool and an administrative GUI that is used to generate and administer the data grid. This makes it easy to generate spread applications that exchange and change data shared among processes and across a network.
